The Hunters have settled on their former coach as new technical director ahead of the new season Bechem United have announced the appointment of Milisav Bogdanovic as new technical director, ahead of their maiden participation in the 2017 Caf Confederations Cup. The Brong Ahafo-based club won the 2016 Ghana FA Cup title after defeating Okwawu United in the final, with head coach Manuel Coelho Zacharias picking the best coach of the tournament and the club also finishing the top-flight in seventh position. “Bogdanovic is a very good coach, who without any doubt will be a great addition because he knows our setup very well,” club owner and president Kingsley Owusu Acheaw told Goal. “He was our head coach in the past but left due to certain reasons but he's back to where he calls home. We hope that he will team up with our current head coach to give us the best of results.
“It is our hope that we improve on our performance in the league next season and make an impact in the Confederations Cup. “If we are able to make it to the group stages like Medeama did this year, it will be an awesome job," he added. Bechem have signed eleven players so far after the departure of top striker Abednego Tetteh, captain Issah Adamu and Yaw Mensah. The new players include Amed Toure [free agent], Sadiq Abubakar [Berekum Chelsea], Akoto Danso [Okwahu United], Stephen Tetteh [formerly of Hearts], Daniel Egyin [Hasaccas], Moro Salifu [Medeama], Mike Ansah [Proud United], Richard Amoah [Proud United] Ibrahim Alhassan [New Edubiase United], Sampson Adu [Karela FC], and Haruna Issah [Unicom FC].
